Jake Crampton
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Jake Crampton is responsible for the overall governance of the organization and his leadership plays an instrumental role in the strategic direction of the business. Under his guidance, MedSpeed has established operations in multiple markets and designed solutions for some of the largest health systems in the country. Prior to MedSpeed, Jake was the founder and president of Native English, a language training and consulting firm located in Mexico City. Native English employed 55 teachers, translators and business facilitators in its mission to enable commerce for its multinational clientele. Jake earned his bachelor of arts degree in history and political science from the University of Illinois and a master of business administration in entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago School of Business. Jake developed the MedSpeed business concept while at University of Chicago where it was the winner of the New Venture Challenge.

Tim O'Day
Chief Operating Officer

As the chief operating officer of MedSpeed, Tim O’Day is responsible for oversight of MedSpeed’s current and future operations. With over 25 years experience in finance, operations and general management, Tim has a combination of big company, start up and high growth business experience. Prior to MedSpeed, Tim founded and ran an internet technology company, was president of a regional special event company, CFO of an equipment rental chain, and director of finance for national 400 store auto glass company. Tim started his career in healthcare at Abbott Laboratories in a management training program, followed by various financial management positions in corporate and the hospital products division. Tim earned his bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University.

Don Parker
Chief Financial Officer

As the chief financial officer of MedSpeed, Don Parker lends his 30 years of broad-based business experience to the overall financial governance of the organization. In addition to the instrumental role he plays at MedSpeed, Don is also a board member of several other closely held companies. During his career, Don has represented the lead investor in acquisitions, mergers and early stage investments, and has successfully led the negotiations in over a dozen significant transactions. As a CPA, he has an extensive background in complex business taxation and financial planning. Don earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Illinois State University and a master of science in taxation from DePaul University.

Gail Nelson
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Gail Nelson is responsible for MedSpeed’s national sales, marketing and business development functions. As a member of the senior management team, Gail plays a role in setting the company’s strategic direction and fostering continued growth. Prior to MedSpeed, Gail held the roles of vice president, enterprise sales for Owens & Minor and vice president, national accounts for Stryker Corporation. Gail gained formative experience in sales, marketing and consulting leadership in positions with Baxter Healthcare Corporation and its spin off organization, Allegiance Healthcare Corporation. Early in her career, she was a Captain in the US Army as an RPN at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Gail earned her bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University and is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Healthcare Business Women’s Association (HBA).

Wes Crampton
Vice President of Operations

Wes Crampton is the vice president of operations for MedSpeed and oversees the implementation, analysis and customer care functions of the business. In his role, Wes is responsible for the coordination of all operational requirements to ensure MedSpeed runs a cohesive, high-functioning organization. Wes has managed the start up process for all new MedSpeed markets and overseen the creation and development of the MedSpeed analytical process. Prior to moving into healthcare operations, Wes was part of the Teach For America movement where he joined other business leaders in helping to eliminate education inequity. Wes earned his bachelor of arts degree in economics and political science from the University of Illinois.

Steve Muscarello
Founder & Senior Advisor

As the co-founder and senior advisor of MedSpeed, Steve Muscarello helps guide the company’s direction, market presence and opportunities for growth. Prior to MedSpeed, Steve was a National Account Executive with DMR Consulting Group. In this role, he developed executive-level relationships within the telecommunications and financial services segments. Post MBA, Steve was a Senior Manager with 360 Communications where he was responsible for the development and implementation of tactical sales and distribution initiatives. Steve started his career with Wayne Hummer Investments where he managed assets for large individual and institutional portfolios. Steve earned his bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University and a master of business administration in finance from DePaul University.
